RFI Ferrite Kit

Description

This practical RFI Ferrite Kit is designed to reduce RF interference (RFI), noise, and unwanted common-mode RF around an HF transceiver.

The kit contains various ferrite clips and a ferrite core, all made of ferrite material #31. These can be used to fit ferrite components to power, antenna, USB, microphone, and other connected cables to suppress unwanted RF currents.

The RFI Ferrite Kit contains:
1× FT240-31 ferrite core – approx. 60 × 35 mm (Antenna cable)
1× 18 mm ferrite clamp – material #31 (power cable)
2× 13 mm ferrite clamps – material #31 (USB/data cable)
1× 6.6 mm ferrite clamp – material #31 (microphone cable)

Ferrite material #31 is widely applicable for HF applications and is commonly used to suppress unwanted RF and common-mode interference.

Depending on the application, a cable can be threaded through a ferrite core multiple times to further enhance its effectiveness against unwanted RF.

This kit is intended as a practical starting point for addressing RFI issues, but does not guarantee that all interference problems will be completely resolved. The cause of RFI can vary from one installation to another and may also lie outside the cabling system.
